LOL. Just our luck; might be available later as a DLC :p
reason : there is a 4 min gameplay trailer and the latest trailer of the state of play
in both videos different cat
4 min one = black cat
newest trailer = red cat ? light brown maybe ?
also keep in mind that the cat of the 4 min video COULD be just dirty and hasnt cleaned yet
so this idea might not even right just my theory
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you talking about this video? At one point at 4:00 he looks black but then he’s red-orange when he goes into the light.
I also read that they weren’t planning on adding character customization and that it isn’t in the game because “this is not a game about just any stray cat” which sounds to me like a excuse for “we were lazy and didn’t feel like letting the players change the fur color of the cat”
Either way, either we’ll get character creation or we’ll get mods. Assuming there’s no character creator and the game is at least somewhat moddable (some games are very hard to mod) we should be able to at the very least texture swap the cat.
Are we really caring about which gender the cat is lmfao,
i think there will be no mods. why do you need those mods? the game will not be "open world" and it will not have multiplayer.
I think the only thing we will able to change is the cat's name.
