You don't turn around models and such like true VR.

In this case, it's just 360 footage that just follow your head movement with faked depth.

This is nothing VR.
It's still 3D, which is an amazing feature that has slowly been beat into the ground by companies willingly ignoring it. It's been a thing on pc since the early 2000s, and some say it was better then. Nvidia bought out the company that made it and let the tech languish until they made their own glasses in the early 2010s, didn't get enough immediate buy in so they gave up on the technology again.

Totally different than actual VR.

Another VorpX video and can this make people happy, whatever you will call it, then it is fine by me:

vorpX is incapable of providing the seperation of Orbital and Rotational Camera function for proper 3rd person VR. vorpX works for 1st person conversions but is just worthless imo for 3rd person games. for 3rd person vorpx you might as well do ALL rotation with a thumbstick and not your face. Defeating the purpose of the headtracking.

Maybe not incapable, but currently does not support any such ability.

Luke Ross managed to provide it for his mods on GTAV and Horizon Zero Dawn. So never say never. Both those games with the VR mod gave options for 1st/3rd person views, and both worked correctly in each respective view.

If he ever gets around to getting them to provide real stereo instead of the Alternating stereo......

I think what VorpX tries to archeive is great, even though it may only work great for a limitted number of games:

https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/3rd-person-games-play-great-with-vorpx-vr/
https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/vorpx-for-3rd-person-angle/

And some times you can even "cheat"
https://www.vorpx.com/forums/topic/camera-control-method-for-turning-3rd-person-into-1st-person/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1SoptNWySo

In 2018 I made a profile for "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" and imo it played fine with ok camera control and head tracking (I only play seated).

If this makes my gaming experience more immersive and enjoyable it is a win win, and I do not care what other people calls it or if it is not "correct" VR, and even Luke Ross great VR mods do not support tracked controllers.

Check this. Now support all Nvidia include 30 cards, and also AMD. 3D vision is a history we can forget it.

Does it really works on all Nvidiea cards? (into my card can not be installed 3D driver at all - I thought that all Nvidia cards have 3D but, but found out it when I turned on my new computer that this card does not support it - it even does'nt have the 3D Vision menu in it's settings as did some very old card on my previous computer) - Is it easy to install it and make it work as a reshade 3D depth? - do I need only install the: 3D Fix Manager or what? It seem to complicated. I tried reshade 3D on Witcher 3 but it was mess as a VorpX - totally unplayable. (I never tried 3D vision - did not have 3D monitor - now I have 3D projector - so I play mainly 3D games from PS3/4, there is only a few 3D games on PC)

It needs more works then reshade superdepth3D but not complicated then VorpX.
Follow the site I gave you to get the job done.
And yes modern N and A card supported include rtx30, not ALL cards of course if it's too old.

I love VR, but not sure this one would work gameplay wise. I tried the VorpX method and it's ok.

Now if someone made a game like this from the ground up with VR in mind that would be amazing. There is one VR cat "simulator" but it is hot garbage.

ok, I will try it - but it's confusing - because they write there about some helix and 3D vision drivers also --- my card N 1660 Super (has no 3D support) - so I just download geo-11 v0.6.56 (it also was not obvious that I should click on in for downloading) - and then extract it and copy into the game directory and it should be working, yes? I will try it now.

it's beyond me - can you please - tell me exactly what to do - step by step after downloading the geo-11, I extracted and copied 3 files (I also tried to copy all the files from the downloaded and extracted folders - and nothing - no 3D) into the game directory, in one file I am to change some force-stereo - but I can not find it. The Witcher 3 is sitll in 2D. I need some tutorial video or much more complex guide with pictures.
