Search for the game "Moss" here on Steam and also Astro Bot on PSVR.
Nah forget it.
Other than this.
Anyone who doesn't see a point in 3rd person VR. is Ignorant. Be quiet. Your opinion is trash.
Limiting VR to FPS games only would be a colossal waste of time.
Unfortunately, people like you have already put your .02 cents in an affected the market as such, because there is a stigma surrounding VR, that follows your line of ignorance and it needs to stop.
I want to play Civilization, XCom, Tomb Raider, Total War Warhammer, in VR FFS. Not have the industry listening to people like you. "I don't see how that would work?"
I'll give you a hint. It's really simple.
VR just adds 3D and Headtracking.
Imagine being able to look around at the Total War Map, via rotating your face instead of just panning around it always looking at it from the same boring angle. OR god forbid how some of the games make you hold down middle mouse button to rotate the camera. Looking around with your face is so much easier.
Once you remove motion controls from the equation. The whole gaming world opens up what the " HMD " can offer to upgrade games.
I'd hate to say it, but 3rd person God of War, Elden Ring, etc has more interesting combat than a VR Only First Person Blade and Sorcery Hand waving Physics Sandbox.
Imagine doing one of Lara Croft amazing backflips and you didn't get to see any of it, other than your screen moving up and down slightly because you chose to play from First person...
The HMD is just a 3rd analog thumbstick that supplements camera rotation. It's not some completely new paradigm shift, that requires games to be made exclusively for First Person motion controllers.
Flight games alone should have clued you in on what the real point of a VR HMD is and why it's an upgrade over using your thumb to rotate the camera.
One last thing. 3rd Person and VR is a match made in Heaven.
3rd person on a monitor = Your characters ass takes up prime screen real-estate. No matter where you try to rotate your view. Your character is always right smack in the most valuable part of the view.
3rd person in VR = I can look around and my character doesn't always have to be right in the middle of my view.
You have no idea how much better 3rd Person VR is compared to 3rd person Monitor gaming.
Only a few games have offered it. Luke Ross's Horizon Zero Dawn VR mod is one of them.
Most Official VR Support Attempts (Hitman 3) Attempt to turn their 3rd person game into a First Person game. And that is what compromised the game.
Anyway this game works great with the Helixvision (UE4 UNIVERSAL FIX V9.01). Especially with the new g-11 mode it runs much smooth and the graphic also sharper.

Stray looks very nice, it would be interesting to play it in VR. Moreover, even the controls do not need to be redone - everything works fine on the gamepad.
+1 for VR
