Playing on M1 Mac with Dualshock 4 controller

First of all, I know that my setup may not be ideal to get the best graphics/performance, but it's not too shabby at all. I have the Parallels Windows 11 VM configured for games-only and it's not bad. I had one crash early on, but since then it's worked flawlessly. Graphics are decent and movement is usually smooth.

I have a question about the Dualshock 4. My controller is connected by Bluetooth to my Mac. Steam thinks it's an Xbox controller, so when I'm playing Stray, I get the wrong name/icon for the needed button and have to figure out which one it means. That;'s fine when I'm learning to jump, but not so good when I need to evade Zurks!

Is there a way to fix the controller issue so that I see the correct button names?

A followup: when I connect my controller to my Mac with a USB cable instead of by Bluetooth, Steam identifies my controller correctly.
