Can't send business takeover after buying building?
I know that I can rent myself the space after I buy a building and set up shop. I've done this a few times.
I am wondering why after buying a building you can't send a business takeover offer to the business currently occupying the space?
Yes, you usually end up having to go in and 'fix' a few things about the place, but I was going to use this as a bit of a shortcut/something different to totally designing the place myself.

I think it is just an issue with the menu. They need better if/then logic for that particular case (you own a retail building with a rented space). Right now, when you own a building, you can only rent it out or move in rent free, they have just not added the third option.

Once they get the 'Blue Print' and/or 'copy-paste' option where you can easily recreate items you have already placed (EARLY ACCESS 0.3 , ESTIMATED JULY 2023), then this becomes a non-issue.

Owning the building has nothing to do with owning the business that occupies it. Businesses can move and you probably would have no idea how to properly run particular one. All you sell is room. That's your expertise.

Or rent contracts wouldn't be so common.

You may have played some Railroad "manager" for too long :)

Thanks this is a known 'issue'. For now do it the other way around if you want to take over the business. Take them over first and then buy the building.

It won't be EA 0.4, or probably for a while. Probably more likely when real estate gets revamped in the future!
