Factory Storage?
I've been struggling with trying to figure out how the storage element of Factories work, as some of my Input staff will not leave their input station to grab new materials, like they're having some kind of existential crisis of being made to labor at $18 until they die. Is this a bug? I cleared a path for them to walk to the the huge pallet shelf with the Fabric on it, but they still didn't budge. I had to load up their input pallet by myself, and only then did the factory start to produce the items it was intended to.

Is there some sort of hidden queue mechanism that directs the worker to grab material from a specific pallet, and if there isn't... everything implodes?

Secondly, I had all of the Output stations loaded up with product before I realized that the workers don't load those on a pallet shelf, but instead the smaller qty 16 Storage Shelf. My concern with this, is if the trucks that are inside the factory pull from these as well along with the pallet shelves? I might not have set up the logistics for transport correctly, but I'm just making sure that I don't have to physically move the clothing from the storage shelves to the pallet shelves for the truck/logistics to know what to grab.

Hello! For warehouses and factories, you definitely want the pallet shelves. Storage shelves won't work.

Are the factory workers items on storage shelves as well?
No, those are on the Pallet shelves. Somehow, the Output workers were grabbing the completed items from the output stations, and then putting them onto storage shelves, but not they're not putting any output items onto anything. They're just standing at the output stations as the output is filling up. I had to stop by the factory and clear everything up with a flatbed just to ensure production could keep going.

It doesn't appear that Input/Output staff knows where to put things. Or, if there is a Pallet Shelf, but they can't get to it, there's no way to change that "default" storage location and they all freeze up, but only when it comes to inputs/outputs. Everything else about the factory seems to work fine now.

When it was working (before I moved a storage shelf and broke their little minds) it was seeming to work as:
Pallet Shelf: Input materials
Storage Shelf: Output finished Clothing.
Looks like I was able to correct it where one factory line was "self-contained", in that, the pallet shelf was accessible to only the input station and nowhere else, and that broke the logic for everyone else in the factory. The output stations ignore the storage racks and put the goods right on the pallet shelf.

Being able to select which storage rack / pallet rack would be a great QoL update to ensure employees aren't wandering around to places they shouldn't and wasting time in transit.
Another problem with the Pallet Shelves:
I was unable to get a shipment in of the raw material fabric, because the pallet shelves were completely full... with quantities of 2x, 3x, 4x goods taking up complete slots and not combining. This is something I've seen in my other warehouses as well, as even in the same pallet, I'll have differing values of the same good that only combine when I pull them into a flatbed and then reload them into the pallet. That's the only way to "clean up" and coalesce product to be able to receive inventory. I'm also not sure why the finished goods weren't taken away to the warehouse location as well, but that's a different issue.

For a QoL update, please have an auto-combining of goods that workers impact (when workers load in goods to the pallet), and not just the player.

Edit: I was trying to find a way to post a screenshot here, but I might need to upload that into the Screenshots section for the specific Pallet issue

Double Edit: I seem to have no idea how to upload the screenshot in the game screenshot section, but it's in my profile, set to public. Also, the Steam screenshot bind of F12 conflicts with the default command to open the menu window. I had to force the key binding to F11 to be able to take a screenshot.

This issue should be taken care of in the next big update!
Thank you for working towards and addressing that!
