0.8?

I want to come back to the game and see the new stuff, but it seems that 0.8 is around the corner. Is there a date for it? Do big 0.x updates break saves or will this one change early game (judging from the roadmap, it doesn't seem so)? Thanks

From my understanding, changing versions do not break the saves(except the beta versions), although that can vary depending on the new content of the updates.

.8 is going to be awesome!! However, if you've been away for longer than one major update. I.e you played in .5 but not 6 or 7, then you should probably change to the next update you have not played in steam betas, load up the game and save, Let an hour or so in game go by then load up the next beta. When you reach the end select "None" on betas, then you should be up to date after that. There's a possibility that anything past .6 can mess things up due to the extreme graphics updates the game got.

Thanks, but in this game I like the early- and mid-game, so I don't mind restarting :)

In a video about 0.7 that I saw on YOUTUBE or somewhere before, they said that they wanted to continue updating about once every three months from now on. The date of this video should have been around December 16th or 17th, 2024, so three months will have passed today or tomorrow. Considering the timing, I think it will come sometime during this sale. If not, it will be sometime this month. If it is delayed until April, it means that the schedule is a little behind schedule. It's great that you can see the progress.

Well, either way, we'll soon find out the answer, since we're already halfway through March. I'm excited to see what happens. Can we hope that things are going according to plan?
