Vehicle Cargo quantity...
Hey DEVs, I was looking at the current cargo space for the vehicles and the quantities are not realistic. Consider changing them to this...

Honza Mimic - 8
Vord Tiara Vic - 10
Vord V150 - 20
UMC Nunavut - 25
Missam Villian - 30
UMC Desert - 50
Vord Courier D500 - 100
Freight Truck T1 - 250

I currently work for the "Brown" company as a Feeder driver (Tractor Trailer driver) but I started off in Package in a Package Car (which the Vord Courier D500 is based off of) and then had a Van route (Freight Truck T1) and these quantities that I'm suggesting are much more realistic.

My reasoning is that the V150 should not hold more than the Villian or UMC Desert and currently the Tiara Vic holds 12 while the Desert holds 14 which is unrealistic. The numbers that I have suggested are more in line with actual payloads.

I hope you consider these figures.

Cheers!! :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

Just a heads up. You probably knew already but, the cargo capacity only matters for you loading it and delivering. There is no limit to product from WH to stores, only the amount of stops that can be made via vehicle,Driver,Logistics manager.

Yes but I am more concerned with early on, trying to keep the stores fed with products as I open new stores to bolster the daily income. 14 boxes in a Van is unreal, while a V150 pickup would hold less than the van, not more, the initial 14 cargo for the van is
not right.

In my current game I have a Florist Shop and a Pizzeria making about $8500.00 per day combined. I am on day 18 and right now do not see me having a warehouse yet. And I refuse to pay a $400.00 delivery fee to a Wholesaler so I'm stocking the stores myself and it's frustrating going back and forth 2 or 3 times for 2 stores.

Then I project ahead to having 5, 6 or 7 stores. For the early game, the cargo capacity is very crucial and should be more realistic respectively.

I always rush to warehouses then I can sell all primaries and secondaries in my fast food. Trying to keep them stocked manually would be quite the task.
That you don't necessarily need to carry your own cargo later in the game is besides the point: the vehicles' respective cargo capacities don't make much sense. A purpose-built cargo van should be able to carry far more than a four-door pickup truck. Heck, the Desert can even carry a flatbed dolly, but the V150 can't... and yet the latter can carry six more boxes?

Personally, I'd drop the V150's maximum carry size to 12, or maybe 14. I like that the game dynamically renders the boxes in the back of the V150 (super nice touch!), but this also makes the size difference between the boxes and the car more obvious, and a capacity of 20 just makes it seem like there's witchcraft afoot.

I think the Desert should get the 20 capacity, and should be a little more expensive to make up for it. I'd also make the V150 cheaper, for the same reason. Its faster acceleration + speed, tighter turning circle, and ability to see the cargo in the back would still give people compelling reasons to choose it over the Desert, while those who want a specialised stuff-hauler can take the van.

There is a lot of stuff that is very unrealistic in this game. Like why would I pay a cashier $46 an hour, while rent is 144 a day on a small shop. In what world is 1 cashiers salary for a 8 hour shift 2.5 times more expensive than rent for a day?

The reason the van moves less than the pickup is because the van is way cheaper to buy, and it slows down your progress a bit at the start, thats about it. Way back in the day the van did have 20 units of storage.

But if we want realism there shouldn't be "storage units" there should be volume and weight for each car, and every item in the game that you move has a specific volume and weight.

I mean moving factory equipment in a HOnza Mimic, isn't realistic for one piece of serious equipment, yet you can cram 8 in there...
Does anyone know if there is a way to edit any asset files? I know there are plenty of games that had .txt files with vehicle properties that could be edited. It came in very handy in situations like this where quantities were in question. You could increase or decrease to make it more realistic. And, you didn't have to ask or wait on a Dev to agree or deny the adjustment.
