Yes but I am more concerned with early on, trying to keep the stores fed with products as I open new stores to bolster the daily income. 14 boxes in a Van is unreal, while a V150 pickup would hold less than the van, not more, the initial 14 cargo for the van is
not right.
In my current game I have a Florist Shop and a Pizzeria making about $8500.00 per day combined. I am on day 18 and right now do not see me having a warehouse yet. And I refuse to pay a $400.00 delivery fee to a Wholesaler so I'm stocking the stores myself and it's frustrating going back and forth 2 or 3 times for 2 stores.
Then I project ahead to having 5, 6 or 7 stores. For the early game, the cargo capacity is very crucial and should be more realistic respectively.
I always rush to warehouses then I can sell all primaries and secondaries in my fast food. Trying to keep them stocked manually would be quite the task.
Personally, I'd drop the V150's maximum carry size to 12, or maybe 14. I like that the game dynamically renders the boxes in the back of the V150 (super nice touch!), but this also makes the size difference between the boxes and the car more obvious, and a capacity of 20 just makes it seem like there's witchcraft afoot.
I think the Desert should get the 20 capacity, and should be a little more expensive to make up for it. I'd also make the V150 cheaper, for the same reason. Its faster acceleration + speed, tighter turning circle, and ability to see the cargo in the back would still give people compelling reasons to choose it over the Desert, while those who want a specialised stuff-hauler can take the van.
The reason the van moves less than the pickup is because the van is way cheaper to buy, and it slows down your progress a bit at the start, thats about it. Way back in the day the van did have 20 units of storage.
But if we want realism there shouldn't be "storage units" there should be volume and weight for each car, and every item in the game that you move has a specific volume and weight.
I mean moving factory equipment in a HOnza Mimic, isn't realistic for one piece of serious equipment, yet you can cram 8 in there...
