Car Stuck in Repair Garage
Hey, guys. So, I had to have my vehicle towed to the repair garage, but I didn't have enough money to have it repaired. So, I went home and worked a couple of days to get some more cash, but when I came back to the garage, I wasn't able to access my car - the garage doors were closed and wouldn't open.

Any way to get this so the doors are either open during business hours or have them open auto-magically when you approach them on foot? Otherwise, I'm stuck without a vehicle :(

Sounds like a rare bug they've been working to figure out. I will say you don't "NEED" a vehicle except for fun. Subway and Taxi is way more efficient. Try that for now see if you like it. If not, you probably just have to get a new vehicle for now.

I wonder if, (and it may sound far out there) buy the cheapest car available at the dealership... I believe it is around $2500. Use it to approach the repair garage to get the door to open and then see if you can park and get into the car in the shop and back it out after paying to fix it. If you can, then sell the car you just bought. Although you will lose some of the $2500 you paid.

Now, IDK if this will work so, if it doesn't, reload the savegame prior to buying the new car or just consider the first car lost and keep the new one.

Let us know how you made out.

Cheers!:steamhappy:

The thing is though if you ignore the other car should you every have to repair the second car you could end with an issue trying to access the new car mind you it seems garages can hold two cars.

Yes of course, but then again if they can't get the car out then what else can they do. It seems the issue is that you can't just walk up to the garage and have the door open, so I figured that another car would trigger the door to open so that the other car might be accessed.

Or maybe they can try to call the tow truck again and see if they can get to the car. IDK, I'm just trying some suggestions that may help.

Yeah, unfortunately you have to be in the vehicle in order to call the tow truck. I think they did it that way to make it simpler if you have multiple vehicles? IDK. I'll have to try the new car trick - that actually sounds like a fairly easy workaround.

Thanks for the input, guys! :)

Hello - the doors should open up for you. If you've tried reloading and it still doesn't work, then please hit F2 and be sure to send the game files so we can check it out! Be sure to mention this thread so I know it's yours!
