Things That Feel Missing After 100+ Hours
I really dig this game! After a few runs, I've noticed a couple of "gaps" in business types that may be fun. Not a criticism, just thinking of the "real world" analogs.

1) I noticed there are no real diners. There's burgers/pizza food, and donuts/coffee, but no traditional restaurants or sit-down eateries. The food items could even be non-specific (like the grocery store's current "fresh food" and "frozen food"), but I do miss seeing just a restaurant.

2) There are no hotels. I'm not sure if this is for the planned DLC (with the new map / airport area), but hotels would be neat...maid staff, clerks, etc., especially in a big city. Getting to see the individual rooms, etc., would be an obvious nightmare to do, but maybe a simple lobby map for the interior, that guests can "enter and exit" from a virtual area? Just a thought.

3) Last thing, but maybe a way to make a "custom" or "combo" business, and be more restrictive on the existing ones? I know that may sound too picky, but I noticed that "Gift Shop" and "Florist" can both sell flowers and gifts. I am assuming it's the primary customer base being the difference, but it can make directly competing with rival businesses feel odd, more like it should be a single "flowers and gifts." It's the same with Fruits & Veg stores vs. Supermarkets. Especially as you get into later game properties with 1000+ sq ft to play with, a specific "combo" thing would be very handy. Although I am not sure if that would mess up the existing balance too much, so grain of salt and all that.

Anyway, just a few thoughts.

I wish the factories were in place. The sites are too small to work the limited automated machines which are available. I know they are working on that aspect of the game but still it's a bit aggravating to try and work with what they have currently in the game. I would also like a way to slow down the time while trying to design your factory line. Otherwise it will take several days just to get something in place.

1) would be a nice touch, but realistically would just be an extension of fast food outlets with a different title. You can design your fast food to resemble more of a restaurant if you so wish

2) This would be cool. Agree designing each room would be tedious and a lot of work, like you say just the lobby/communal areas would be enough and 'rooms' could be accounted for like check in fees for NCs

3) Depending on which store you have, the primary products sell better than any secondary products. For instance for a flower store, flowers will sell better than gifts and vice versa. It enables a bit more income from each store - if flower store could only sell flowers, then you would see minimal income. You can however place any product in any store, it just won't sell that much. From the ones you refer to, both gift and supermarkets are better sellers and both florist and fruit n veg are somewhat fillers, which I tend to keep to A1/A2 buildings just to utilise them and fill a gap

You can slow down the game - hit settings, options, other then adjust the game speed

Hotels would be interesting, maybe not a priority, but to make it possible i think more than one level (as in height) areas would be necessary, as well as elevators/stairs.

The multi-floor issue is why I was thinking a lobby area would work. I noticed there's no multi-story buildings, but that could be because of a ton of things (engine limits, balance issues, coding issues, etc.). For a small game like this, giving up multi-story buildings is a small ask. The guests could 'disappear' through a side door or something (labeled "elevator" for RP reasons haha), so the lobby area is the only one the player would have to deal with, which would allow for the same template layout types that already exist in the game.

I like this idea. Maybe on the ground floor you could have a gym/conference rooms/bar/restaurant. Having a config option to configure the number of single/double/queen/king/suite rooms (total rooms = customer capacity of the building), with demand for suites exclusive to Midtown and the new area we're getting.
Inventory sorting is so needed, so only items ticked on pallet shelves get delivered to those shelves. Also allow Hanging signs to be labled for warehouse goods.

Please allow more space for he larger truck parking, i can never get a parking spot close enough, so i was double parking and incurring the fine, or took the subway will a pallet trolley, bu ill go on more on his next.

A fix is also needed for the traffic management. Vehicles slam their brakes on going from 50 - 0 mph in a second, or cut into side of you from the other lanes. Also the traffic lights don't give you enough time o cross the junction, before someone pulls out and smacks into the side of you.

its amazing they can go from 50-0 in a second, but can even attempt to stop hitting your vehicle when its right in front of them.

The traffic problems are such a grievance, i sopped using vehicles. Is far less hassle to walk or take the metro.

Ha! Yeah, the driving does remind me a bit of Project Zomboid, but I am hard pressed to think of a 2D driving experience that was smooth. I am definitely looking forward to the update they mentioned that adds a personal driver at some point in the game.
