I'd rather have to plan for it. You call the taxi company, select a owned address and a specific time. Then, when the time comes, a taxi would arrive and wait for you for a bit before leaving if you never showed up.
I think that would be more in line with the current mechanics for about everything else in the game.
Would it be super useful? Nope, not at all. But, like the scooters and subways, they just add to a more varied travelling options and fun gameplay for those who like to RP the game.
And no, I do not RP, i play the game.
