While I can add $2000+ on jewelry and you'll buy them suckers.
Both stores I have 100% Satisfaction (try to have this early as you can).
I marked;
cheap clothes up from ~60 to 150
expensive clothes ~$127 to $300,
Jewelry (160 to 400 and 1270 to 3000)
...etc.
I pretty much just did like 250ish% increase. I didn't play with it to max it out.
I've heard tale of a M1 store making over 900k profit in a single-day.
Best I've done on this one is little over 800k single-day profit.
Not knocking - I'm a board gamer and love to examine the mechanics for hidden exploits.
My questions are:
1) Why open a gift store if selling clothing? Why not a clothing store? Is that an exploit where you sell clothes without 'competing' for clothing customers versus actual Clothing Stores?
2) Does the Type of shop even matter? (in retail) for anything?

3) Is competition for Customers solely based on the 4 Zones? Does distance near competitors matter? If I open two Gift Stores across the street from each other but in different zones - are they competing for customers?
The primary items you sell will sell better overall, and will be what drives the customers into your store.
Currently, competition is based on district - even though a store might be next door, if it's in another district, it doesn't matter.
Still wondering about OP's choice of Gift Shop if the main driver of income is clothes. The Board Gamer in me wants to know what the difference is. Why not just open a clothing store and not need to stock a random shelf of gift goods?
Is competition for Customers (within a zone) strictly by shop type? Is there a penalty for not having all the specific goods for a type of shop? Can i put a rack of cheap goods in a corner of my (intended) jewelry store and now advert as a Gift Shop and that helps somehow?
Do appreciate the answers. I was assuming some and helps to know.
