Jewelry Factory Design
Hi guys, since I've already created a guide about creating a Clothing Factory, I'll not create a new guide for this one (Building a Factory is almost always the same, machines and placements only changes, that's all), so, there is a design I made while doing some tests for a Jewelry Factory, it took me a bit more than 2 hours to find this design, it's the best I was able to make.

Factories are not all the same :)

For expensive (cheap is half the time) the laser takes 60 minutes while the polisher takes 30 minutes so at the very least you should have two lasers per input. Then the final one takes 30 minutes as well so there may be benefits of having two of those as well. I ran out of space to try adding a second Consumer Goods assembly per line but I have a backlog waiting to get in to it.

My factory tab doesn't show the production for expensive jewelry (which I just submitted as a bug) but here's my cheap jewelry numbers with 2 inputs of gems,2 laser cutters, one polisher and one Consumer goods assembly (per cheap and expensive): actually I'll just copy your data and add my own

Hourly / Daily consumption (Metal Band) : 5.3 / 128
Hourly / Daily consumption (Uncut Gems - Cheap) : 3.8 / 92
Hourly / Daily consumption (Uncut Gems - Expensive) : 1.8 / 44
Jewelry (Cheap) production for 1 day : 5.33 per hour - roughly 127.92 per day
Jewelry (Expensive) production for 1 day: unknown but could make calculations based on the metal bands and uncut gems - expensive consumption above.

Though I do somewhat agree they are kind of useless at the moment as you can't really produce enough. I know this is the first phase of factories though so I'll wait for the future to make more. I just treat them currently as a supplement to imports and get some cheaper costs even though the ROI will take awhile.

I try to keep my factory low-cost most of the time, that's why I do not add more machine to increase production and also because, actually, Factory aren't really worth it, it help to reduce the importation cost and avoid any out of stock problem but it can't complete replace the importer :/

But even with your design ... it's still not worth it, for example, I've a Jewerly with 10 cheap and expensive Jewerly stand, so, I need at least 500 of each Jewerly to fill every stand per day (Maybe less, maybe more, I just simplified my calculs) ... even with a production of almost 130 per day, I've enought Jewelry per day to fill 1/5 of my Jewelry stand, I need to import to fill the remaining one and ... importing Jewelry is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive '-'

I've made a better design, it cost a lot more to deploy but it produce way more than the last one ... it theoretically produce more at least '-'
I've made it in a way to keep every machines working 24/7, no machines is waiting for stuff more than 5 minutes.
