Hey all.

Just wanted advice on how to achieve this Uncle Fred objective.

I currently have the gift shop and fast food business, but am struggling to make past 1.5k a day.

I have a few marketing campaigns going on and have started to sell expensive gifts too as suggested within the giftshop business.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Expand your trading hours. Staff them 24/7. Sell more types of product in your store. There's a hard cap on the number of customers you can have per hour, but there is no cap on how much stuff they will buy

You can sell other things, like expensive jewelry, in any store. If the store is not meant for that, it will still sell around 50x per week no matter what, so you can make some 100k per week on jewelry. If you're in a size 30 building, you just need two display cases for that.

Train your staff to 100%, make sure they are happy. Make sure the store has 100% appeal by putting expensive floor and wallpaper everywhere. Keep your store open 24/7 once you can. It will get much easier when you have a warehouse and deliveries setup instead of buying it wholesale because then everything is hands free.

It is each store is just a part of your profit. After you have some morestores and offices, you make more money.

I bought the store next to the starter office, and with 2 full time staff with 60% customer service and a cleaner full time (selling expensive gifts), it pulls about 1.5k a day exactly.

I bought the office the other side of the apartment, put 3 lawyers in it (had to go to downtown, as the nearby employment office didn't have the same skill pool), and I now make 4.5k a day, 5+ on a good day.

There are a few things you can do to increase a given stores output I think:
Staff Training (Important)
Expensive Products (Important)
Marketing Campaigns
Store Decor (Music speakers seem to be important)
Staff Uniform
Employee Items (Secondary Monitors, Desk decor)
Buy cheaper stock (The further away bigger wholesalers sell cheaper)

These are just a piece of the puzzle, the market info app will tell you what is selling well and what isn't; this is a major business mover too.

Use the help. At the top of the menu, click on the question symbol or press the F1 key.
There you will find information about what you can sell for each type of business. In the gift shop, you can sell more than just gifts and drinks cans.
A good location (traffic index) is very useful for some businesses, such as gift shops, so that more customers come. Longer opening hours also mean more income. And a larger shop can have more customers.
Shops with a customer capacity of 30 customers per hour are good. You can usually use a cash register instead of a cash register. Then you only need one cash register.
I also started with a small gift shop. Now I am on day 230 and have 116 companies. In the last 7 days I have made over 23 million in profit. It doesn't have to go quite that quickly for you. But a lot is possible.
I kept my small 75 m² gift shop in Garment. I make about $8,000 in profit per day.
Your prices may be too low. If your business is at 100%, you can charge up to 20% above the lowest market price in Garment. This can also increase your profit. There is a fan page with additional information. biggerambitions.com
