Mod Support ASAP
This game is one of my favorite games to play. The possibilities for this game is endless. After 3 weeks of playing i have nothing else to do. I'm impatiently waiting for the next update so that i can receive more game play. Mods would help keep me active in the game until the game is finish.

Hey, Modding is planned, but very likely after the release of the game in 20242025?(I think)

You can see all their roadmap here: Big Ambitions Roadmap [www.bigambitionsgame.com]

No full release date has been set or announced yet!

Modding is very likely to happen, but no exact timeframe has been laid out yet either.

I do think this should be brought forward, at the very least it needs to be before the full release to see what sorts of mods the community is interested in.

I'll have to second this comment. Considering the popularity this game achieved, capitalizing on modding would be MAJOR in the long run. Even at the cost of some features in the roadmap in the short term.

Modding keeps people engaged between content releases, and provides the developers a means to evaluate what sort of features are possible and in demand for later official implementation.

Rimworld implemented modding very early into its Alpha releases, and it's one of the reasons why the game got to the point it is now.

I can see why they do not want modding in early access... People will write bug reports constantly when the issue is just a mod they were using. Thus clogging down the bug reports with false reports.

I want mods too but I think it's easier for everyone if they just do it after launch.

Yep. Mods after launch please.

it´s not only the potential bugs related to mods. It´s also a big problem for a game in active development to provide mod support. Because the base code will be changed very often due to adding new features , changing behaviors and so on. And depending on the kind of mods which are supported, it can happen that all mods get incompatible with the next version. So as developer you can decide to waste a lot of development time to keep downward compatibility for the mods or the modders and the player are getting upset pretty fast because they have to rework/reinstall their mods after each patch.
As long as the mods are only graphics replacements there is no problem - but scenarios or new business types can be a real problem - as they need connections to core elements of the game which could be changed, expanded or removed during patches. just my sights as modder ;)

This is very true! Especially as core elements get expanded or rewritten, that would cause many mods to break. Perhaps it won't have to wait until full release, but certainly not immediately for those reason!

Haven't picked the game up yet but I plan to soon. I reckon it looks primed for a cracking Gangster/Mafia mod >.>

definitely. this style of game/ map would work great for a gangster management game and i would be surprised if it didn't appear as a mod.

potential is there to for this kind of game to remake the old gangsters organised crime game
