I too prefer the arrow keys. I would just say that arrow keys are more common in Japanese games than WSAD.
The game only allows you to change a very few key bindings, which ultimately doesn't seem very useful at this point.
I have not had any difficulty with the default keybindings so far.
On the other hand, I do find it problematic that the steering response by the A/D keys, not the key bindings, is very over-sensitive.
It is quite difficult to drive safely without veering into oncoming traffic.
Also, I have to force the car in front of me to pass me quite often because the NPC car is even slower than the car my uncle yields to me.
