Daily profit is not correct?

Past ingame week i noticed that my profit is wrong, even if it's an average it's not correct. I always earn more then the daily profit says, Like 4-10k more.

Maybe the green profit number is the change in your net worth, not the change in your bank balance.

No, that's not it, before last patch it was fine.

I just ran into the same problem but i looked around and found out that it was still calculating that i was paying for marketing even though i had them turned off. For example it says i made $200 but i actually made $2k cuz i have $1800 worth of marketing turned off

That's not it either due to i don't use marketing or ever used it in this playthrough. I keep earning more the more stores i open, atm it says +20k daily profit while i get around 40-45k added to my cash.

It is because it deducts the cost of product when you sell the product, rather than when you bought the product. So if you sold $800 worth of burgers in a day it will count it as $600 profit because of a $200 cost of product. But in reality, since you purchased the burgers prior to selling them you are literally getting $800 that day without any cost since the cost already happened before.
