Stuck on 8 customers per hour in Gift Shop's
so I've currently got 3 gift shops going, both in different districts - both setup the same with a current 15 customer capacity. However after monitoring insight for the last 10 days in-game I have noticed that I can not get over 8 customers per hour in either of the shops, regardless of capacity. Kind of confused as I understand the mechanic behind the cap limit (to encourage upgrading appliances/pos) but this seems to be a problem on it's own.
Just for context, I have other businesses running covering different niches and their customer #'s coincide with the cp/h.

You need certain amounts of items for caps. For example a cash register can handle 30 people(?) so you would need 2 for a 40 - 60 person limit. A clothing rack can handle 10 so you'd need 2 for a 15 person limit. The building also has a support limit 15-however many the max is on the big building. It will be 15/30 for instance. That means you are missing something to maximize the capacity. If you look under the business info part top right section it will tell you how many you can support. You have this part covered just an fyi. The next part of it may be advertising. There are 2 agencies. One is the radio one is billboards. In order to get 100% advertising coverage you need a small, medium and large of both. Not sure what the issue is as I can't see your screen but hopefully this will help you out.

Well I explained above my situation, advertising / capacity / etc. isn't an issue. My problem is all of my gift shops are stuck at 8 customers per hour, which is below the lowest max capacity for this type of shop which is 15. If I was able to upload images here in the discussion I would definitely provide my insight tab but I don't think that's necessary at all considering we know the low cap.

I am stuck wondering if my game is bugged or what the issue is exactly, because 8 is not a hard cap so the fact that my problem is with this specific number of customers is strange.

Your number of customers is based on the Promotion score of your store (also visible in the insights tab). This is a combination of the traffic (don't think you can change that except for moving your store) and marketing.

To give an example:
50% traffic and no marketing for a store with 15 cap means you can only get 7,5 customers an hour max. (most of the time you get less due to the day and time)
For the same store with 50% Marketing your promotion score will be 75% (50% traffic * (1+Marketing%). This means you can get max 11,25 customers an hour.
Only with 100% marketing you could reach max 15 customers an hour for this store. If your traffic% is lower as 50% you can never reach your max shop capacity.

That's at least what I found out, understood and learned when playing the game.
