Displays in Gift Shop
Does the number of Rounded Shelves in a gift shop influence people to buy things? For example, in my gift shop, I have one rounded shelf for cheap gifts and one for expensive gifts. If I put more rounded shelves on the floor and have more cheap and expensive gifts, will customers buy more?

Thank you in advance.

Personally I dont think so, I started with 1 of each but now I have two of each rounded shelves with cheap and expensive goods, didnt notice a difference, only thing I know how to improve sales is customer service/ cleanliness/ interior all 100% also marketing.

Can add as many shelves as you can fit..as noted above customer satisfaction is key...but also your building capacity. Max of usually 30 customers per hour (small buildings that is).... adjusting your prices until people complain is good too but you have to check your "pricing" happiness after midnight each day to see the affects of your changes. Your HR manager (when you get them) will increase your employees customer service... then you can raise the prices more. 2 cashiers scheduled will boost the capacity limit by 10 depending on buildings.

Take a look at your BizMan => Insight => right side customer capacity. If everything looks good there you don't need to place more.

Something I discovered is that in order to handle more customers per hour in a Gift Shop, you will need more cash registers. Customers won't queue up like they do at fast food and if they "can't find a register", they'll just leave without purchasing. Typically, one register handles 1 or 2 customers an hour, so to handle more customers/hour, you'll want more registers. Also, the experience of each cashier has a small influence adding a chance to handle 2 and sometimes 3 customers/hour. :steamhappy: Having more displays simply means you have more stock on the sales floor.

this isn't true. I'm selling way more with a single cash register.

the cash register must be too close to the exit,
this is a bug that will be fixed

Cash registers allow for 20 customers per hour.

Some shelves allow for 10 or 15 customers per hour, and you need more than one to hit the cap for the facility.

IF you have three with caps of 15, and a register with a cap of 20, all three caps of 15 need to be raised to 20 or more for the overall cap to be increased.

You can have TEN registers, and your cap will still be the lowest cap of the lowest product in your store.

I had the same problem seeing customers saying they can't find a register in my gift shop, turns out it was the 'queue line' being too close to the door. If you go into interior design, right click on the register you can drag the queue line to where you want. Solved the problem for me and customers now form a line to the reigster.
