Do I understand warehouses correctly?

Small warehouses with the one van (or truck?) can only service two businesses
Large warehouses can service up to four (with 2 vehicles)?

If someone could just reply I have the above right, would appreciate that.

This game is just so weird.
Warehouses should have parking lots to fill with trucks (or, a truck service center). The more trucks you have, the more stores you can service.

Yes, I can see having an office FULL of purchasers and logistics to service everything.. but one large warehouse "should" do it. You don't even have to have your trucks there. For that, just a vehicle service center where you keep your fleet of vehicles (and service them).
This is where drivers report to work, get their trucks and head out to the warehouse and then the stores. That's how it normally works.

Companies generally do not have more than one warehouse in a single geographic location.

This is just SOOO strange a small warehouse can only accommodate 1 vehicle and 2 small businesses? And large one basically double that.

I strongly encourage the devs to rethink this warehouse setup.
I could offer some more suggestions if they wanted to give it a go? I spent 40 years in corporate (retired now). Have ideas floating in my head, but no use in delving into it more if things are as they are.

With a freight truck and Logistics Manager trained to 100%, you can serve 8 locations with a small and 16 locations with a large warehouse!

I have a fully trained logistics manager and he says I can only serve 3 locations in my small warehouse. Is there something I'm missing here? And yes I only have a van right now, do I just need to buy the truck?

If the LM is 100%, it should allow you to create a 4th location with the van. If it doesn't, please hit F2 and submit a bug report.

Could it be the driver's proficiency level? Or do drivers not have a proficiency like other employees? I don't recall.

David stated the drivers and logistics mgrs both affect this. Yes, drivers need trained just like everyone else does.
Far as I know, there are no employees that don't need any training.

The driver's skill level determines how big a vehicle they can drive. They need to be 50% or higher to drive a freight truck, for instance.

How do you edit which businesses the wagon delivers to?

I had to remove the LM from his position and put him back in and then I got the 4th option. Weird

On the Headquarters > Logistics Manager page you add control which businesses and what they each receieve

Sorry for commenting on a really old thread, but it seems that even though a warehouse can support up to 8 destinations with the big truck and high skill, there's still a big limitation on the amount of boxes a driver can make. So ultimately, the amount of destinations to me seems rather pointless?

I tried running 3 shops (2 medium C1 sized supermarkets and 1 medium fast food restaurant) from a small warehouse with 1 T1 freight truck. Maxed out driver skill and Logistics Manager skill, yet I'm constantly getting notifications about my supermarkets being out of items.

Frustrating... Seems to be that I need 1 small warehouse for every 2 stores.

Hello! There is currently no limit of boxes that a warehouse/truck can deliver - you can deliver everything you need to up to 16 locations with one large warehouse!

If your supermarket is running out of items, the most likely case is that your supermarket's storage shelves are full and can't receive any more items! If it's not that, you might not be setting the limit high enough to fill the store's display shelves.

I will do some checking right now to see if that's the case. Odd though that once I went to smaller warehouse with fewer stops, the issue was fixed... Might have just been coincidence?
