Security Question

Where do I buy security Equipment? I started the game yesterday and just updated. I've looked through a few furniture stores and I'm not seeing where to buy any of it?

If you have 100% security, you won't lose anything to theft! Make sure the cameras can see all your shelves as well!

i have make some test with the game, i have a gift shop and two security panel neer the door, and the parasite thief are able to steal neer 3/5 of my stuff by day, even if they have no customer in the market i can view the number of my thing in the shelve going down,

and i view too when a customer enter in my market, the thing in the shelve going down even if they have no people around the shelve in the end of the market,

i lost neer 3000$ by day for a small market, (low gift, high gift, cola, hight value flower and lower value flower), i have trying to add wine, but the parasite thief steel between 5 and 20 bottle of wine by day, sometime more,

What is giving to put security panel if the thief can steal all the thing in your market and go aways with it?,

it's just if i can survive with the thing i sell, not able to make more profit with the thing i sell because the parasite can steal more than the 1/4 or 1/2 of my stuff by day, and i am not sure if they can steal even in the backstore...

The security thing give too much lost, it's not pleasant to play the game like this with the city full of ninja thief..., i put the key under the door and stop trying to have a market...

Yeah ive got the same issue, Not pleasant to play the game now it seems any shop is just a waste off time.

If you put a pair of panels by the door and make sure the display shelves are covered by cameras, that alone is enough for most stores to not receive any theft. Clothing and Jewelry require a bit more.

At Essentials Appliances you can buy cameras and security panels as well as security guard lockers for your security guard employees!

In AJ Pederson and Son I don't have any security items that i can buy, no camars or door grads at all

Where can you see how much you are losing to theft?

If you check out your EconoView statement for that business, it will give a breakdown of sales and expenses, including theft!

I got a problem with my jewelry store -20k'ish $ theft per day, security 97%, 4x 100% security guards, added 10 more cameras. Drops to 41% when the shop is closed. Is it a bug that the game thinks the shop is still open?

I am getting ready to do a deep dive on Security right now. Here are some things I already see:

1. Coffee Shops and Fast Food do not need Cameras or Panels (And obviously not guards) .. I suppose that is true for anything that does not have 'Shopping Baskets'. I have verified that Gyms and Nightclubs also do not need panels or cameras.

If you don't have Panels or cameras, it says poor security .. BUT .. there is no theft. I don't know if it has and impact on anything else.

2. If you sell electronics in a gift shop, it seems you need guards as well as cameras and panels. Just like for an electronics shop. The stores that need guards are:

Electronics
Jewelry
Clothing Store
Gifts (At least if you sell electronics)


3. I think you need 2 guards at 100% every hour that stores are open .. so 2 lockers and 2 guards for each shift .. just like you have to do for Point of Sales Machines.

4. Any other stores with 'Shopping Baskets' need cameras and panels, but no guards. So Bookstore, Supermarket, Florist, Fruits and Veggies, Liquor, Hairdresser need that.

5. Offices do not need any security at all.
