We want to add multiplayer (online co-op) but it's a massive undertaking, to say at least. We'll both need to hire new people with the required knowledge, but also push back other content updates for probably 4-6 months.
Right now we're focusing on adding more content, especially to mid/late game, and optimizing and improving on what we already got (performance and QOL). When we feel the singleplayer experience is more complete and coherent, multiplayer will be next :-)
Realistically, multiplayer is at least 1 year out in the future. Most likely 2.
I know this isn't what most of you hoped to hear, but I wanted to be completely transparent.
Best,
Jonas
Thank you for your transparency, hope all will go well so we see coop parties in this game.
