Car steering very bad

I think the car steering with WASD works very bad. You always have to correct the direction because it is never precise enough to go straight forward. I know that an analogue controller would be better, but I don't like such things for games where I mostly use mouse and keyboard. I think the steering could be better than now, and I know it can't be perfect with the keyboard.
But not only left/right is not precise, I also hate the way braking works. Every time I brake the car reverses. there should either be a bigger treshhold for switching between braking and reverse driving or a separate key for changing the gear to reverse.

I agree, it could use some work. Hopefully the game gets proper controller support at somepoint because driving when playing on the Steam Deck is a nightmare as it's emulating WASD with a thumbstick making driving erratic.

Not really, e.g. in GTA 5 it works very fine and accurate. So it is possible. In other games also mouse steering works fine. In this game I'm tied to mouse + keyboard because it is mainly an economic simulation. I don't want here to have a separate device just to drive around. I could use my joystick for this, but... no. If a devaice then a steering wheel and no kiddiesh xbox or PS controller for an economic sim...;-D

same for me stop playing because car stering do not work at all. have to walk and metro to long... just stop playing.
