Question about support this game further.
Hello,

Before I gonna buy this game, I wonder if it's gonna be supported longer then Your previous game Startup Company?

You did support it for shorter then a year. So with such a huge project "huge ambitions", how can you reassure me that's this game gonna have longer life with such a huge potential?

Greetings

Hello,

Pretty good question. and the developers will have a batter answer than myself but I can say that Startup Company was developed by only one developer while BA has a team of 4 Full Time developers, it helps a lot with support and new features

I do hope this game will not be abandoned. It's such a gem

Wow I feel like... what the heck here ?
let's start with that

Startup Company stayed in early access a long time but got a LOT of improvements over time. and as said in answer #1 it was by a very small team, so yeah time was not a concern. They did their job, and delivered a finished working product.
I see no reason this would change with that game.

Then for this, as said in answer #1, ofc it will be to devs to answer that

But once you buy a game in v1.0, all devs are supposed to do is fixing bugs that made it into v1.0
Besides that, you buy a finished product, and devs owe you nothing.

I know some games indeed continue developpement after v1.0, but it's either :
- it went out with missing obvious promised features just to accomodate a release date and the game got badly recieved due to that
- Devs still had a roadmap for after v1.0 in place and then should probably stick to it.
- That insane thing I'm not happy with, that many likes, called DLC's. And there, indeed games are developped over years after v1.0

But looking at Startup Company and complaining about the "short support" is... pretty harsh in my opinion.

It's a fine complete game as it is for the $15 (rounded up from my country)
Can't complain about content for that price.
Price / product has to be taken into account when looking at that.

Big Ambition is still on par with majority of early access prices of "real games".

Just for reference... Kerbal Space program 2 launched not long ago, in Early Access, for a cheap $50 (sarcasm here) being broken, hasn't seen yet a major hotfix, an insane, almost impossible roadmap due to current state of game, etc... so yeah.

I can most likely assure you that the $25 of this game are a much better investement than some other games out there.
Now on the other hand, as it is as of today, you may want to read that thread.

I tend to play slowly, and give me a harsh start. so I may get to that less quickly.
So I may play a bit longer than that, at this game's stage.
As of today, you may not get a very deep gameplay.

Now the roadmap for this game is relatively "short"

And yet, due to that roadmap, I think it will add a lot of "meat" to the game as it progresses.

Hi guys,

Let me start by saying there's no chance we're abandoning Big Ambitions. We're currently on the top seller list all over the world. From a game dev perspective: this is was we dream about.

Startup Company was my first game. Compared to Big Ambitions it's a relatively small game, which also has a much smaller audience. In total, I worked on that from 2016 to 2020. Unfortunately, it couldn't keep up sales-wise. We had to move on.

Getting back to Big Ambitions, we're full on! Right now we're working on expanding the team and in the near future we'll announce an increase in the game scope. This is only the beginning and we have no future games in the pipeline.

I can't and won't guarantee what the future will be like, but I would be incredibly surprised if we're not still working hard on new content for BA in 5 years.

Hope that answers everything :)

I'm very pleased to hear that. Keep up the good work!
