What does the '$50,000,000 valuation' objective mean?

I've purchased multiple residential buildings and rented them out, and I have $12,000,000 in an investment fund, but my net worth found in the 'Persona' screen is only showing roughly $1,000,000. Is the 'valuation' referring to my net worth, or something else that I haven't found yet?

Unfortunately it seems money, investments, or property, don't seem to contribute to "net worth".

They don't count if paid for with money won from illegal gambling

That all does count toward your net worth if bought them with business earnings - only gambling money doesn't count.

Any money or property you have that didn't come from gambling winnings, plus the daily profit you earn from your businesses and investments.
