Game looks fun, but don't think it's worth the price tag. At least not for me, I wouldn't spend more than 20 hours playing it.
"Play with a library of over 100 songs including tracks from the world’s top artists"
No mention of using your own library.
Devs... If you can include User Libraries you're going to make a zillion bucks x
Don't get me wrong though! I would take the extra time to work with an editor to get all of the stems for songs I have produced or stems from a place like BeatPort and get them to fit.
Actually, Harmonix partnering up with a place like that or a few other places that have songs with stems would be amazing! Because then it would open up to a whole TON of new songs and artists that you might have never heard of. Plus because it's connected to a service like that, you could be assured that the quality of the songs and their implementation would be good. Similar to how the latest Rock Band (also by Harmonix) had a page where anyone could submit songs and they didn't even have to be rock songs.
Yeah, that'd be amazing!
I can't understand why that would be.
I get it that you can create a nightclub crowd but every inch of me cannot understand in any way the missed opportunity to combine with actual DJing.
Have you played with the Virtual DJ or Traktor software? I suggest giving it a shot and you will see what I mean. You can drop any MP3 you want in there, but you will have to do all the setup yourself.
FUSER is basically DJ'ing on easy mode because they did all the homework of getting track stems, finding the key of the songs, and getting all the exact BPMs ready for you as well as categorizing them.
Again, not saying we shouldn't have an option to add more music, but in order for it to work as seamlessly as the songs already included in the game do, there will be some work to do.
Go check out a game called Sequence Storm. It is not exactly a DJ'ing game, but it has A LOT of customization and you CAN put in your own songs, but you will find that it takes some work to get them to working exactly right.
