How in the heck do you get 5-Stars?!

Okay so I see Set 1-3 has a top I want if I get 5 stars. Cool...how do I DO that?! I've spent like 2 hours replaying this set and I have NO clue what I'm doing wrong! I've got 100% requests, 100% combos, I'm doing things on the Downbeat (though it is REALLY hard to eject discs on the downbeat, I have no clue how to time that)...what am I doing wrong?!

(also the clothing unlocks in this game are kinda silly. You're giving me all these Style Coins but there's nothing to actually spend them on! I hope more fashion items are added in the future. Especially hair. No twintails?! C'mon!)

Check your settings to see if no-fail mode is on. I had that enabled and it was capping the crowd bonus for each section. That got me the points i needed!

This! Took me far too long to realise that no-fail was enabled and it was limiting the crowd score to 400 points
