A song request thread (Hopefully a megathread?)

Figured this is the best course of action to do considering that this game is entirely at the mercy of various players' tastes in music because of what i'm understanding of this game, the moddability of this game is pretty much "next to none" due to each song having 4 isolated tracks in it (percussion, 2 instrument sets, vocals).

I guess the main reason why I'm making this thread is because people who wanna play this type of game (i.e: me) might not necessarily be satisfied with the provided soundtrack and I wanna think i'm not the only one here.

So, to start off the thread, I think it'd be worth it for me to post songs I wish was in Fuser so as to make the game a more attractive purchase IMO

I know i didn't mention this in the original thread, but a part of me thinks that Japanese music would most likely draw a specific audience to the game. Something something Sound Holic's non-Touhou stuffs?

焔 -MAGMA and I guess everything from that album since that seems to be the only non-Konami non-Touhou SDHC album.

Actually, how difficult would it be for Harmonix to license doujin music? I guess as long as it isn't IOSYS, they should be fine paying other smaller artists?

Probably the most famous example of doujin music are Touhou arranges, though some of those same music artists do their own original work (i.e: IOSYS, EastNewSound, Yuuhei Satellite). SOUND HOLIC and IOSYS are probably the best examples of doujin artists that do original works, though most of their stuff seems to be copyrighted by Konami. (The song I linked earlier is 100% owned by SOUND HOLIC).

Pretty much, I'm suggesting that a low-cost way for Harmonix to include Japanese songs is to license music that is otherwise only sold in Comiket.

Touhou music isn't the only form of doujin music but rather the most famous example of doujin music. As I've mentioned before, EastNewSound, SOUND HOLIC, IOSYS and Yuuhei Satellite* still do their own original musics.

The artists you mentioned (Casiopea especially) would be ideal, but at the same time, if Harmonix is to ever put Japanese music in the game, it'd likely have to be stuff that'll cost pennies to license in comparison.

*Promised Flower is an original track, though everything else in the single it's from isn't.

I would say that harmonix would use the Original Version of Caramelldansen By Caramell instead of the Inferior Speedycake/Caramella Girls Version (oh yeah and that version is too fast by 8 bpm anyway)
