Pinneaples

What do you get for giving pinneaples and how many per level of relationship? zz (the witch or whatever she's called) gave me a cool engine after a good amount of pinneaples like relationship lvl 3 or so idk how many I used because I basically dumped them on her and knife leopard I'm at like lvl 2 and he's given me a book to add 5 extra secs to the digging minigame and a movie.

Also where do you get pinneaples? I basically have absurd amounts of money because I tried grinding for them playing the digging minigame, but I get a pinneaple once every billion games so I have obscene amounts of money, I feel like I'm doing something wrong lol I'm at day 13 what do I do to get pinneaples reliably?

Can't tell you exactly how many per level, but you need quite a lot, it's very grindy and tedious. But you get some of the best weapons/stances/armor pieces in the game by increasing your relationship with the NPCs.

You can get pineapples the following ways:
1) Doing jobs (seems the fastest way and you can do it an unlimited number of times) - I recommend the catwashing one
2) Completing Battlepass in Virtual Fighter (some BP levels will give you 3 pineapples)
3) Buying them from the store (they're actually quite rare and available only at some specific points in the story)

Getting pineapples is one of the worst things in this game, right next to long walks in the areas and the R&G shop that has zero stuff most of the time.

Cash is a joke at this point, just add someone who sells pineapples and the more you buy them, the higher and higher cost it becomes, no wants to grind cat and so on all the time when they came here for the mechs and story.

Also get rid of dead ranks for pineapples, what the point of upping someone rank if your just going to get zero out of it, it just means you need to drop more pineapples to try and get something.

Unironically this should be the top priority for the next patch, the way pineapples work now basically make it so money is useless, I used to like fights because of the money prize now it feels like playing virtual fighter

I could also see a potential solution being to at least guarantee a pineapple from one minigame or maybe switch the rewards to all pineapples after you've gotten each reward a certain number of times, just remove it from the potential drop list and replace with pineapple

Ok, nevermind lol. We were just too impatient. Starting Day 36 you will unlock a series of challenges that you can do over and over again and it's easy and straightforward, guaranteed 3 pineapples every time. Had I known I would have grinded so much less and the game would feel so much fresher hahaha

Oh you can replay the underground challenges and get the same rewards? That actually makes getting pineapples way easier and more consistent

Is there a reward for maxing out a character? I finished Knife and I don't think I got anything, even though he said something about a gift.

Not always, I maxed out everyone and there isn't even an achievement

Thank you. I guess he just doesn't give anything out for it. Was kinda hoping for some powerful mech component or something.

Check COWBOY's head slot. You should have an Engelbrecht Crown, which is a pretty banging headpiece. I think that the dialogue to tell you you received it is bugged because I was worried I didn't get anything from Knife either, but I did have that equipment afterwards and I'm 99% sure that's where it came from.

Yup, you're absolutely right. I went through the mecha items pretty quick and missed it the first time. Saw it yesterday while playing, and I can't think of where else it might have come from.
