Go to the program file at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hunting Unlimited 3" and right click on the hu3 application file and go to properties. Then go to the compatibility tab and select run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2). This worked for me.
