The Publisher Behind the Game (Nacon) have no interest in Train Life and the Development Team (Simteract) can't do anything with Train Life because of this. The Train Life team got moved to the Taxi Life team.
Someone should....you know....swgemu this game and make it into what it could have been and should have been
So I suppose it means it will continue to be developed? Otherwise it would be a false advertising.

On May 23rd Mike, the Community Manager of Simteract posted this in the official Discord:
"Nothing is abandoned. The further development for Train Life has paused as we're focusing more on Taxi Life for the time being."
Let's cross fingers
This game hasn't seen updates in what, 2 years now at least?
There are elements in the game that make it unplayable at times. The sign placement for example is a complete catastrophy.
You can't react just in time to construction sites and always risk to derail if you don't go way below speed limit.
Developement ever only did the least amount of what was necessary for this game.
There is absolutely no heart and soul for the project, which tells everything you need to know about this dev and it's publisher.
Do not buy this game, if you haven't done already, it's an completely unfinished mess!
While I do Agree wit is an Unfinished Mess it is more or less confirmed that development on Train Life will be resumed. And keep in mind thaat it maybe wasn't even the Developers decision to publish it on GOG now but rather the Publishers.
The Decision of it came from the Publisher
