Passenger Contracts?

Why can't you reserve a passenger contract like you can with Cargo by pressing X, on passenger Contracts?

For example I'm at Brussels Main having brought a passenger train in from Cologne Main. I want to take a passenger train to Amsterdam Main, I set the route from Brussels Main to Amsterdam Main get the Orange V, I open the doors but passengers don't get on. It just says closed doors instead of loading passengers then close the door.

What am I doing wrong?

I tried taking the train out of the station to run it back in again but that doesn't work either.

As you said, you can't reserve a contract for passengers. You have to check if the city from were you want to go has passangers for the city you are want to go. If yes, set up your route, drive to passanger pick up track (you have to chose it via the button) and do the stuff with open doors etc. But the city has to have passengers ready for the city you want to drive,

I checked to see if there was any passengers wanting to go to Amsterdam and there was. For some reason I couldn't load the passengers, I was on correct platform with the orange V.

Why couldn't they do it like Cargo where you reserve passenger slots and you go to the correct platform then load up?

Yes I agree. Passanger transportation is kinda pain in the ***. At the beginning I struggled, too. But now I don't have issues anymore. This is how I do it, maybe it will help.

1. set route from A to B (even C if you want to tranport to more cities)
2. drive to A
3. get permission to enter and change GPS to blue line to passanger tracks
4. stop (screen will fade into black)
5. open doors
6. let the im
7. close doors

Last night I drove from The Hague Main to Amsterdam Main by the time I found the platform the job had timed out and got nothing.

First of all got access, went to the platform but there was no orange arrows, so went out of Amsterdam Main set back, asked for permission saw the orange markers, then but took me ages to actually find the path to the correct platform.

I wish that they auto set the route to the platform when you get within 500 meters of the station or when access is granted.

You need to change the route by yourself. After you gain access to the station, you still have the orange GPS. But you need to press the , or . button to change it to the blue GPS that is for passenger and postal tracks. It will guide you to the correct platform.

My problem is that I'm playing on a Steamdeck so it's obviously not a very big display. And I can't spot the orange marker until I'm pretty much on top of it.

I press the button that shows the blue marker to show which platform I need to go to but either it's too late to go further over or the info is giving me false info, for example it shows I need to be on left but the orange marker is in the middle platform.
