If you get the DLC can you get just the locomotive and then do freight operations with it? I love steam trains, but I'm not a fan of passenger operations.

I don't think you can buy the steam train, I can only see it under Scenarios, so I don't think you can do freight only jobs with it.

Currently, the steam train can't be bought in career. It still needs some improvements and fixes before that. The way I understood it is they got it out early by popular demand.

But maybe they will add it to career in later update after they make sure it won't break anything.

yeah, snatched up the DLC real fast as soon as it dropped, then was the big sad when I couldn't use it in career. but, i guess i still have it and can look forward when it hits career mode. I prefer steam over electric or diesel any day
