Does this game just suck on Epic?

Or are the controls and interfaces also broken on this end? Got it free on Epic, and ive gotta say this game feels TERRIBLE. that and the little cutscenes that you have to go through by pressing A immediately started glitching out and playing on loop until the dialog screen just stayed at the bottom of the screen. And THEN after doing a series of wall jumps, i just couldnt attack!

I actually just installed the Epic version and it seems pretty broken. I just bought the Steam version and all the controls and visuals seem to working as intended.

2-install demo in steam
3-copy epic install into steam install
steam mapper fixes broken controls

I never buy a game in epic. even some games they give for free, later I buy in steam for achievements, cloud saving etc.

Wow, does this trick make Steam think you purchased the full game? Like will it show up in your Steam library and give you Steam achievements?

no, it still will show up as demo. its just to play epic game with steam mapper. but later I realize that its not necessary at all, just add the epic game itself in the library as non steam game, mapper still can be used 😅

Lol awesome. I was about to ask if you could just add it as non-steam game. :-P
I have done that for games with bad or no controller support before.

Just installed this and the Epic version's controls are still busted. I'm having fun with it despite that but boy I'm glad I got it for free.

its aggravating. I have an f310 and you have to play in xbox mode otherwise the x.y.a,b buttons are not mapped right. I was finding it impossible to hit the up attacks (up+attack) with the thumb stick, so i switched to using the d-pad for direction which feels odd. menus use a skip one system- for example in the first menu getting option or exit game to select is a challenge. (just wait till you use the teleport and the subway) the dialog sometimes locks into a loop so the game will not progress. most of the time at only the end dialog the keyboard can get you out of the loop. because of other things I inadvertently skipped an unknown amount of the game so I had to restart and.. the tutorial locked onto the screen.
