Also after the up + Y uppercut, do a very small jump (i.e tap a for as short a time as possible) and punch early so that you hit the very bottom of the dummy's hitbox, then if you get a delay with the weapon swap the dummy doesn't fall below your drill hitbox.
The whole combo system is complete ass imo. All the timing is needlessly narrow. It's like they designed the flow of combat, then intentionally made knock back slightly too much in some cases, or enemies begin to fall slightly too fast, and weapon switching too slow to be able to catch enemies.
For a game that most people with beat and never play again there is no reason to invest time into learning this BS.

just press the button early before the combo end don't wait as you see in the screen.
practice more you will understand.
in the last training is Master training will harder than your gif.
