Stuck with Master Wu

I cannot get past the second trainer task for Master Wu. It keeps telling me that the heavy attack is not being done in mid-air. My character is definitely off the ground and there is no way to speed up the attacks to be done before landing.

Same here. Did the first one easily but the second one (A, X, X, Y) I am failing each time despite doing it seemingly perfectly. X, X is registering and I am hitting Y before I even hit the deck so I'm still in mid air but this keeps failing and there is no way to do it quicker.

I had a hard time too. I ended up jumping off the stack of boxes and hit the dummy coming down.

I can't even get it to recognize the first light attack. I no matter where I jump from, it just doesn't recognize that I'm in the air.

Hi all, how's things going now? That air attack training requires some fast input, especially the last Y. --XXY in a constant frequent pace, rather than xx-y pace for now. However, i'm always sending feedbacks to the developer and they are reading the forums too. Let's see if we can do something.

I am using my controller over Bluetooth, so maybe there's a bit of input lag going on that's making it not recognizing jump then light attack fast enough. I'll download the demo again and give it a shot with the controlled plugged in through USB.

My controller is wired in, so there is absolutely no lag. This definitely should not be happening under these circumstances, especially considering how slow FIST's attacks are compared to other games I play that are similar

So it turns out you have to actually connect with the dummy for it to count. Maybe that was implied and I'm dumb, but yeah. I just managed to do it on my third try this session lol

Unfortunately, that doesn't help me, because I connected with the dummy all three times.

This sucks for sure. I hope you managed to get sorted out. At the very least, I think you should be able to skip these tutorials. I haven't really found the moves they make you do all that necessary in the demo anyway.

Is there a way to progress the story without doing this challenge. I have been trying for about an hour now and it still won't register...

Update: it ended up being that I needed to only jump hit the bot once w x and once w y while in the air. So AXY instead of AXXY
