Might have to bulldoze some house or other thing to make up for the wood. By sacking one of your own buildings you get like half the cost of wood. Sure you might get hit in morale/happiness or population or food or whatever, but you can recover from that quickly.
You must have done a lot of expansion prior to being hit so bad. Usually by day 13 I'm swimming in so much wood I just spend it buying cells so I can expand. But my supply chain is so efficient, like I've two sawmills and 3 workers in each, I'm building up stacks of wood in short order again.
That's what you should consider, having a secondary lumber shed, and creating a third workplace. Just expand your warehouses to increase your limits and you'll be floating in stone and wood and be like, well, sheyit, what do I do with all the stuff now? :P Same holds true for stone and sunstone. Expansion into other resources is wise, don't you think? It's always a good idea to have more than one lumber, one quarry, one Sun Stone mine, especially if you want to get towers and walls up, not to mention paying for troops. Of course, you also need lots of food, too. It's all about staying ahead so you don't start getting negative values from an inefficient supply chain.
