How do you guys think this games compares to Diplomacy is not an option?
The other has a demo, they both seem to be after the same exact audience, low poly aesthetics and building a fort to defend against periodic waves of enemies

Wondering the exact same thing sort of. I havent played Becastled since last winter but I returned the game because it was just too buggy at the time and it wouldve killed the game for me but I liked it A LOT. I just played DINAO demo and it reminded me of this game so im here checking up on it. They both pretty much play the same way but ill be completely honest and say that DINAO is a more enjoyable experience all around but im comparing to a version from almost a year ago. I would guess Becastled got a lot of polish/updates since then but we'll see what current players have to say.

Diplomacy is not an option is more leaning towards Castle Defense with exploration, Becastled is more Castle Defense without exploration.
The difference is the focus of both games. DINAO strikes a balance between both and favors more complex management.
Becastled is more simplistic and heavily focusses on just defending, not attacking.
So they arent targetting the exact same audience.
I personally like both but i heavily favor Diplomacy is not an option, because of how it flows and plays.
Becastled is too static to me. Maybe its a pick for me when its more fleshed out.
