Was hoping to get a spare key and try this one out
Could you ellaborate more on the coop party formation? is there like a "Lobby" (like in DA Inquisition multiplayer and others, where the game finds you a party automatically, matching by char lvl) or how does online multiplayer (party find) work exactly? Thanks!
The lobby itself is just through Steam friends or ip. I generally host and my friend just joins me through my friend list.
The game should have no problem switching characters from single to multiplayer. You should be able to jump in and out whenever you want.
The game does make backups of characters, so you may be able to restore progress if something went wrong. The guide to do so is here:

Feel free to reach out if this doesn't work.
You can restart the game with new characters as often as you like, it's just when you have completed the main quests they can't be replayed as of now.
In a future update we'll make them re playable even on the same characters.
