Jack in the Box event?

I found a Jack in the Box event and it gives the option to turn the crank or leave, but when O turn the crank nothing happens and I'm give the option to try again or leave and I figure it must do SOMETHING, but I've turned the crank probably 50+ times and nothing happens.

It may be worth nothing that during the same quest, a few rounds early, an event asked me to find the Jester somewhere in my quest. The words "The Jester" in that event and "Colorful Box" in this event are both spelled out in rainbow colored text, so it feels related.

Has anyone come across either of these yet?

i got this, i turned a few times and when i left a jester came out and it was combat

I think you need to crank it once before you leave to start the combat.

You need to turn it once and then leave to start the event.

The Jack in the Box was impossible...hit my party with 1,200 HP per attack in a 3 Hex range.

There is another and quite tedious way to open the box and I bet that the devs will add an achievement for doing it.
You need to turn it 302 times to get the special fight. You are fighting both the jester and the King while they also fight each other and give you a lot of "We were here" references. It was just awesome! The good thing is that you do not need to keep counting, it will trigger automatically. I believe that 302 is also a reference to the date when We were here was released 3rd February 2017

That.. sounds completely awful. With how slow the interface updates to selections, turning the box 302 times would take what, more than half an hour?

Thank you dude, i did it with my guys and the king came to the fight to help us. After the end of the fight, we received awesome drops. After a lot of cranks, we spend about 1:10 hours to receive the help of the king on the fight.

This is just a trolling post. I put up a macro and watched Anime while It ran for 2 hours. Nothing came of it and the battle was easy.
