Any progress on this? I bought this to play locally with my gf but I now see that it doesn't have local co-op support which is very sad.
This is great! I was going to post a few questions about local co-op experience but figured I'd search first to see if there are plans. THEN ask about the experience. :)
+1 for Local co-op! I LOVED the way they did local co-op in Wildermyth, looking for something similar here.
You can absolutely do it now, but we plan on making it a much better experience in the future.
Come on guys!
Can my wife and I play with 2 different controllers; on the same couch?
Yes, local coop is supported.
Edit: Also the game is aware of the 2nd controller because the green circle is moving around we just cant press change party
Just stated that the Local Co Op is pretty broken and that it's essentially just handing the controller to your friend during THEIR turn.
How true is that?
Can I sit, on the same couch as my friend/wife, with 2 controllers, and 1 copy of the game, and play this game bug free?
I'm tired of asking. I'll just have to refund the game and give it a ♥♥♥♥-review if Not; since even the Developer has implied it DOES Local CoOp.
EDIT: This game is hella fun, I only have one constructive gripe about it (different thread that) AND; couch Co Op works pretty damn well!
The ONLY bug I've had is sometimes when I'm near an Interactible and my wife is near a different one, and she pushes A, it might trigger what I'm next to.
I don't think the styles of the cursor match the game; but THANK YOU for making such a fun romp. I rather love how you can multi-class from the get go.
Just a handful of hours in and I'm glad to have handed over my $20.
We play with 2 Nintendo Switch Controllers.
I've played a lot of CouchCoOp games, my wife and I pretty much ONLY play them.
As such we use Xoutput (to create phantom 360 controllers) and HidHide to get our controllers working well (hiding the native "Switch" controller profile).
Even though Steam has integration, unity games especially are notorious about muxing the inputs or over-detecting the controllers.
