I have giving this game about 20 hrs of game play. I am not new to early release game's and have been playing games on steam and many other's . I run and play games as ,War of War ships , war thunder,, medieval Dynasty and a few more with no trouble's at all. no lag no freezing up and cashing with 30 mins of game play... seems your game needs a lot of work.
this game can be cool to play for people like me how like to slow it down and grow life. lol.. if you get what I mine, I well keep trying to play it I all ready paid for it :) ps it's not my laptop

Would you share what hardware and drivers your laptop is using with us? The easiest way is a dxdiag log. It contains all of that information and gives us a good idea of what kind of system this is happening on.

Please know that I'm not asking this to say "oh, your laptop is to blame!" I use a laptop for gaming myself. So, perhaps we have a tip or two to make it a better experience for you. Plus it really helps us to know more details for optimizations.

There is your issue.
I am right now playing the game on Ultra settings and not seeing any trouble.
The game runs fine and all those who gave it a bad review, probably have HP systems as well. Cause I'm not experiencing any problems what so ever.

From what we can see from this partial dxdiag log, it appears that you have around 8GB RAM installed. Is that correct? If so, this is below the minimum requirements for this game (min requirements are 16GB RAM) and, unfortunately, for quite a few modern games by now. However, upgrading RAM is often possible and not that expensive compared to other parts, even for laptops. I haven't had an HP before, but it might be worth asking. (Edit: a quick Google search tells me that it should be possible.)

Does your laptop have a dedicated graphics card? Unfortunately this isn't shown in the partial dxdiag log.

Something else comes to mind, in case you have a dedicated graphics card as well. This is something that is a common issue when gaming. If your PC or laptop has integrated as well as dedicated graphics, make sure the games you play are using the stronger, dedicated GPU. You can, among other ways, change this setting in the GPU settings.

Personally, I have never not had issues with hybrid mode. This changes between the integrated and dedicated graphics automatically. And sometimes it doesn't do it correctly which results in the game using the weaker graphics chip and not running well.

In addition to the RAM this might also be something worth double checking. Especially if you have a strong dedicated GPU.
