Better game but some confusion now

The game is much better than the original launch and also compared to the second playtest. However winter is now gone (i think - there is no snow on the ground) and I am losing health and dieing repeatedly which is frustrating.

There is nothing i'm finding as to why 'i'm about to die'. Hunger is good and water is good. Some type of indication of why this is the case would be great to be able to find as it is getting annoying to continue the game and yet die again.

Are you freezing/overheating? That has been my problem, I keep overheating and dying. The only way to stave off the overheating is to stay in doors (that I've found anyway).

They said they were working on a patch for the overheating issue but as of a few minutes ago i'm still dying even in my house nekkid. he freezing you can fix by standing by a fire, putting on a hat, wearing paul's coat .

You can see the current season when you open your map. On top of the map it tells you what season it is. If it is spring, make sure to take off your winter clothes.

You can see heat and cold protection for your clothes in your inventory. You also have a temperature bar in your inventory and on your HUD. Blue means cold, red means hot and green means perfect.

When you get the warning message that you are about to die, take a look at the left corner of your screen. Here the reason is highlighted in red.

I have on only my undies and a pancho and my hat which keeps me from dying but start overheating as soon as i walk out the door >

I went back and bought both pair of pants i had sols earlier and tried wearing each of them. Still die from overheating soon as i go outside my cabin.

You can find some clothes with heat protection values here:

- Chest in the ruin of the general store in Ghost Town
- Chest behind Carter (Lumberjacks)
- Chest in the cave with Kid (Ghost Town Ghost)
- Chest at the elevator
- Chest in front of Ben Reave's house (at Four Nines Ranch, the big one at the ranch in Red Rock, on the hill)
- Chest you get from Granger

But the devs are also working on adding more help against the heat right now.

I would never wear a poncho when it's warm...maybe that's the problem?

It's a special poncho from Owl and actually has heat protection too. So, the poncho is good.

You wouldn't get it if you were mean to her.

Ah ok. Den hatte ich auch schon bekommen, danach bin ich leider gestorben. Wusste nicht, dass er so speziell ist. Gut zu wissen. Ich bin eigentlich fast niemals gemein:)

Unfortunately yes. I'm considering if I could try to help you out with admin cheats until the next patch is ready. But I'm afraid I might break your saves.

Exactly vyraka . i can barely make it to town . Going in the general store did not relieve it to give me more time to look around . I also believe the ones from ruins is the ones i sold and went back to get which did nothing .

Oh I did want to add even though i have been having some issues i do appreciate how quickly you have been trying to get us answers. Matter of fact i think those bodies finally got cleaned up :)

The problem with the freezing was fixed for me when I noticed that I wasnt wearing the "starting hat". After I put that on freezing was no issue anymore (with the poncho). I dont know if that was my mistake or if it was a bug.
