How to gain skill points
I have managed to kill the wolves but how do I gain the skill points to retrieve their pelt so I can bring them to Jack a long with the meat? I don't seem to accumulate skill points - what do I need to do?

The fastest way is to cut down trees. Don't waist time collection logs and sticks just cut down the trees. They will grow back the next day.

Trees growing back in 1 day? In my opinion & experience, That's way too fast for a Survival game.

I'm hoping that's temporary and building the town is also temporary. I think they are available to us so we can test them for any bugs or other issues. Really does not make sense that a 20 year old can build a town in less than 3 weeks when you think about it.

Remember, a lot of things are tooled for us to be able to test things. Regrowth of trees is so we can build stuff without having to wait. Experience needed feels like a simple place marker to test the leveling. I sincerely doubt it will be 500 exp per level since to get from level 0 to level 1 is 1500 experience.
As new stuff is added, it will likely have unrealistic tendencies so we can test that as well. Normally, an EA crowd wouldn't get to see this part of a game's development as this would appear only in early builds for the development team to test. Since we've been given the opportunity to participate, we get a sneak peak into this. Some things will appear very odd compared to the genre until we pass the point where the testing of these systems is complete.

I thought so as well. It just feels that way. Everything is accessible and testable. Balance comes after all the major testing is done. Exp is easy so we can move around quickly to the areas that need our attention. Moving on foot to basically test the map and resource locations for bugs and resource quantity. (too much stone or too little) Tool testing for durability on each level. Glitching in terrain and structures. Fall damage, all of it. You think it then go test it. A little tester's guide would be helpful.

Sorry, but this is what we signed up for. It's what we want. I enjoy bug hunting and testing things out. It's a lot more fun. Negativity isn't going to change that for me or the others who do enjoy it. If I didn't want this, I would not have purchased the game because I actually read the EA disclaimer on the store page before purchase unlike most people.

Most people refer to EA games as games when they should be seeing it for what it really is. Access to the playable parts of a game being developed. We can choose to play those parts and move on or participate by reporting the bugs and other problems/issues that we come across. Reporting what you experience is not required but appreciation has been expressed many times for the information the development team has received. Collectively, the thousands of hours of gameplay information (bugs, problems and other issues) the players have reported on would have taken the the Dev's months to identify themselves and we did it in less than three weeks. And I intend to do it all over again when the next patch comes along. Discovering the bugs is like a game unto itself. Looking for things to brake, getting stuck, going into areas you shouldn't. Sharing your finds with others and discussing possible solutions or recommendations. Whats not to like.
