Cannot Craft Bed.

I am in my cabin with Hammer equipped = "B" brings up the proper menu, but nothing I seem to do will craft the bed. I'm not being told I am missing items. Help? (Obviously "missing" something!)

Unequip hammer , "I" to craft bed (5 log, 3 rabbit fur ) , exit crafting menu , "B" to place item

Yeah, having that hammer out blocks any type of crafting. Either in your inventory or in a building like the shed or blacksmith. It's an evil little thing, that hammer.
