I have assigned people to the barn, the shed, the rabbit hutch, and the blacksmith. so far the only person that shows as "employed" is the barn worker. And he is the only one making anything. Is this one of the parts that isn't implemented yet?

I have people standing at the shed, sheriff, barn, blacksmith, general store and pantry. They have working hours from 10:00 to 18:00 so check the time.

I figured it out. do any of the stations make rawhide or do I have to make all of it myself?

in mine almost no one stands at their work location, almost all stand in front of their house, only 2 stand at their work location.

I have the sheriff, barn, shed, blacksmith assigned but its hit and miss as if you select one to go to the shed, when you log in next time its not there, Its not full working yet so dont bother, just get on my horse and explore :)
