a female protagonist is in the works

I am happy for it. I wasn't one that really cared one way or another, but knowing that the option is in the works, I will definitely do a run as a female :) The devlog confirmed what I already expected and I am real happy it did. I know how awesome Toplits is with finding devs that will truly listen to us players hopes and dreams and not just pay lip service. The build freedom this game is offering is going to be so much fun to explore and see grow. My favorite parts about these games is exploring and building/decorating. I do the story at the beginning to make sure I know all the ins and outs but after that I tend to go into sandbox creative mode. That's where the replayability comes from for me. I will go back to story every now and then, but building and exploring is my jam. Although I love that the RPG elements are there because it makes the earlier parts of the game much more interesting. The Dynasty Series hits all of my gaming happy places at once. Its what made me want to buy them, but the dev teams listening to us and working with us, is what keeps me coming back. Being a gaming happy place is the most beautiful compliment. <3 I'm so happy to hear that! And happy to see you here as well. The devs can only do so much, the community feedback we got and get for MD was and is absolutely amazing. You all are definitely an important driving force behind making the game live up to its best potential. I hope we can make it work for WWD in the same way and I will do everything I can to help make it happen. :)

Awesome news. I played Medevil Dynasty and would have preferred a female character, skipped Farmers Dynasty due to no female option.

Happy to hear this one will have a female option eventually. Love the Wild West setting and looking forward to playing tomorrow.

Hey there!

More general updates and improvements do take priority at the moment, but we haven't discarded the idea of a female character.

A possibilty to repair the old homestead is planned with more quest updates eventually.

So it's now the end of 2024, I'm assuming this game was abandon for the other titles like the Medieval one and Japanese one?
or for some reason yet another game the Vampire one?

Different development studios are working on the different Dynasty games (which also use different engines, so may require different backgrounds and knowledge). While they share the same publisher and series, they work on their own games and would not just abandon one for another.

So, no worries there, the team may be small, but everybody is still working on WWD. We also just released another patch.

Oh really? huh, didn't expect that, especially the engines change because they are so alike in function.

Wild West Dynasty uses Unity, for example. Medieval Dynasty uses Unreal Engine 4. Sengoku uses Unreal Engine 5. Lumberjack's Dyasty uses Argon Engine.

As far as I am aware, currently a female playable character isn't being worked on. The focus is on general main game features, optimizations, balancing and remaining bugs. Still not a no for the future, of course.

Bummer, alright well thank you for the info, that's neat to know about the other dynasty games.
I'll keep any eye on this one when/if it does get a female protag.
