For anyone wanting to play this with gamepad. I've created a Steam controller config here:

X/Square is Attack/Confirm
A/Cross is Jump
B/Circle is Cancel/Dash/Guard
Y/Triangle is Investigate

Start/Options is Menu

Hold RB/R1+Face buttons for Skills 1 to 4
Hold LB/L1+Face buttons for Skills 5 to 8
RT/R2 for Skill 9
LT/L2 for Skill 10

Thank you very much for this! Even though I don't have any issue with the keyboard controls (from what little I've played so far), I appreciate being able to use a controller for when I want to relax in front of my PC rather than be hunched over it.

That setting is for an XBox controller, I use a generic controller. How do I do it? Forcing players to play a metroidvania-like game using the keyboard should be sentenced to 10000 lashes USING a keyboard.
