Bonus Powers Questions

SO I'm on my first play through (all three games) and I just finished the citadel dlc in ME3. The wiki says i can learn bonus powers from nearly everyone in my crew by "inviting them to my quarters" I don't have that option on the normandy or in my apartment.
I really just want tali to teach me energy drain, I did all her missions like way earlier.
but i can't invite anyone... please help. even telling me i missed the window will put my mind at ease (an upset ease)

Basically just talk to squadmates at each free roam, at some point you'll unlock their bonus powers. Sometimes they tell you they'd like to talk in private (or smth like that), in which case you need to go up to your cabin and use intercom to invite them here. For example, to unlock energy drain you need to invite Tali to your cabin after mission "Priority: Perseus Veil".

After meeting the Quarians, speaking to Tali while she was in the War Room will trigger a cutscene and then you can invite her up to your room via the computer where there's another discussion/cutscene and then you unlock Energy Drain.

Didn't know there was a time limit for this as I usually get this right before Geth Dreadnought. Even if there isn't, you should interact with Tali first.

I haven't done that mission yet maybe that's what I'm waiting to do?

I did geth dreadnaught like... days ago. i missed talking to her in the war room, there was a little scene with her when i talked to her in engineering *shrug*

also, just to reiterate, i can't invite ANYONE to my cabin/apartment

When you had a meeting with the quarians and a chat with Tali, she said that you can invite her up to your cabin if you'd like to catch up (actual lines differ depending on whether you romanced her in ME2 or not). After that, before launching dreadnaught, you could go to your cabin and invite Tali.

well... i'm feeling like i missed a bunch of stuff... restarting the game now i think i was kinda close to the end heh. like maybe 3/4s through? idunno

well i kinda sped through some stuff i guess. on this play through i talked to my squad regularly and got the bonuses i wanted. i guess i went too far into the story and locked myself out of a lot of thing.
