what if It is the same computer?
The save files are located at:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME1
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME2
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME3
The save files are then inside a folder created for each "Character" you create, e.g.:
John_13_Sentinel_290425_4bb9a48
If you cannot access this save inside the game, I assume it is because of how Steam handles different user IDs or because of how the game creates different user profiles.
Alternatively you can try to create a new character/save and overwrite it with the ones you played before. In any case, make copies of any file you overwrite before doing it.
You can also try to launch the game offline when messing with the save files to prevent the cloud service from overwriting them.
In case nothing works and you have to start from scratch, you can use the Trilogy Save Editor to tweak some stats in your new playthrough to get you back where you were quicker. You find that on Nexusmods.
